This age of digital innovation requires new, more powerful types of server hardware, such as GPUs, ASICS and FPGAs. This new equipment has been designed to process data more efficiently and quicker, while also taking up far less space than traditional CPU equipment. These changes in size and power mean that we have to draw on a different set of engineering principles to achieve optimum efficiency while maintaining reliable environmental conditions. We are dealing with higher densities of equipment, which means we need much more air!
Our CloudCooler range offers a number of upgrade solutions which provide compliance against the latest ASHRAE H1 guidelines for HPC equipment. EcoCooling’s extensive experience working with this type of equipment allows us to spec and source the right peripheral equipment if required, supporting quick deployment and simple maintenance.

Efficient Hybrid Cooling Solutions
With rack densities of 200kW now being being deployed, what is not appreciated is that DLC (direct liquid cooling) only covers 70-80% of the load. This leaves a requirement of 40-60kW per rack of air cooling!
In many cases conventional CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioners) and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handing) solutions cannot support these densities. EcoCooling’s latest solutions have been proven for rack densities up to 60kW, providing the most effective and efficient air cooling solution for hybrid systems.
