Netcetera, one of europe’s leading data centre providers returned to EcoCooling for 2nd installation.
Formed in 1996, Netcetera is one of Europe’s leading Web Hosting service providers, with customers in over 75 countries worldwide. Netcetera are a leading IT infrastructure provider offering co-location, dedicated servers and managed infrastructure services to businesses worldwide.
The new ECV CloudCooler® was selected to cool the first phase of its’ 2MW cryptocurrency miner colocation in their Isle of Man facility. This initial deployment is the first phase of plans for the rollout of many more MWs of capacity serviced by CloudCoolers® worldwide.
The continued use of fresh air solutions is based on the success of Netcetera’s first installation of external ECP CREC® (Computer Room Evaporative Cooling) solution in 2016.

The Solution
The new internal ECV CloudCooler® was chosen due to its simple design and efficiency. The modular, plug and play units have low capital and maintenance costs while the use of direct, fresh air results in a significantly smaller carbon footprint than refrigeration-based alternatives.
Compared to a traditional refrigeration system the estimated energy savings of any EcoCooling fresh air system are expected to be around 90%.
The units provide a constant supply of filtered air at controlled temperatures. Filtration, plus the avoidance of temperature fluctuations maximise the reliability of the cryptocurrency miners and other IT equipment. Optimising air quality and temperature stability provides a perfect platform for maintaining the maximum availability of mining power.
Netcetera Managing Director, Peter Skelton, stated that he was thrilled to use EcoCooling products to cool their facility.
EcoCooling managing director, Alan Beresford was excited to be working with them.
The Result
With over 15 years of experience, EcoCooling is constantly improving their products to provide the best quality cooling systems for all types of installations
The new CloudCooler® range is specifically designed for data centre, IT, GPU and cryptocurrency mining facilities. Utilising free cooling with optional evaporative cooling, the units can be configured to suit many applications. With a significant reduction in operational cooling cost and carbon footprint, the CloudCooler is the go-to option for data centre operator looking to reduce their energy use and cooling costs.
“To date we have saved a whopping two and a half million kilograms of carbon, the CREC® cooling system has significantly contributed to these and ongoing savings.”
