We’re thrilled that the EcoCooling supported Boden Type DC project won ‘Nonprofit Industry Initiative of the Year’ at the coveted DCD award in London last week.
The DCD Awards are a special night where the industry’s best data centre projects and most talented people are celebrated. This year’s gala ceremony took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday 5th December.
The Boden Type DC project was selected as a finalist by an independent panel of data centre experts from hundreds of entries, submitted from across the world. Following the announcement of the finalists was months of deliberation until the winners were announced at the awards ceremony. On the night EcoCooling was presented the award in collaboration with H1 Systems, RISE and Boden Business Agency as part of a brilliant night of celebration.
This award is designed to recognise the great initiatives that NGOs, professional bodies and academia put together, which are educating and influencing the data centre sector. Funded by the European Horizon 2020 project, this prototype 500kW facility in the small town of Boden uses every trick in the book to lower its environmental impact.
A huge congratulations to all those involved in the project, it’s a fantastic achievement to be recognised on this level and showcases how important the project is for the future of the industry.
