Leading evaporative cooling company, EcoCooling has been nominated for the Energy Efficient Product of The Year award, for their innovative ECT10800 model. The DCS Awards are organised by Angel Business Communications and the winners will be revealed at an exclusive gala evening in London on May 18, 2017.

EcoCooling aspire to be worldwide market leaders within the industry and have recently contributed to several award-winning energy efficient data centres including; Aberdeens University, Leicester City Council and Hydro66; the world’s first ever 100% hydro powered data centre.

The nomination follows the success of their newest product, the ECT10800 which has been popular amongst many data centres, due to its high performance, low energy ratings, cost effectiveness and touch screen user interface.

The ECT10800 is part of EcoCoolings internal evaporative cooling range and can provide 35kW of cooling for a mere 800W of electricity, a derivative of this unit has already been deployed across 150 locations for a major telecoms operator.

Saving energy and reducing carbon is a major issue within the data centre sector with increased focus on lowering PUE. EcoCooling’s direct-air evaporative cooling can help data centre operators achieve a PUE of 1.05.

EcoCooling’s innovative approach has made it a highly competitive choice for consumers, in house developers monitor both consumer and infrastructure power consumption regularly to continuously monitor power usage effectiveness performance.

EcoCooling is working towards a large vision ‘to save the country 1% on its total energy bill’, this award will acknowledge the hard work and passion that have gone into the engineering and development of their products.

Alan Beresford, CEO of EcoCooling commented “It’s fantastic to be nominated for such a prestigious award, we put a lot of hard work into our products and they are all engineered, designed and manufactured in-house. To be recognised for the difference we have made within the cooling industry is very rewarding.“

DCS say “The DCS awards are designed to reward the product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in data centre arena. The Awards recognise the achievements of the vendors and their business partners alike and this year encompass a wider range of both facilities and information technology award categories designed to address all of the main areas of the datacentre market in Europe.”
