EVAPORATIVE COOLING APPLICATIONS - PUBLIC BUILDINGS
- The latest building regulations stipulate that if air conditioning is retro-fitted to a building then that building should be subject to a full carbon assessment
- The building should then be upgraded where financially justified – payback less than 15 years
- typically this would involve upgrading lighting, insulation and glazing.
- EcoCooling is classed as ventilation – not cooling. These secondary costs are then avoided
