Data Centre Cooling with Evaporative Cooling

Evaporative Cooling in educationWorcester Technical College use photovoltaic cells to provide power for the cooling of their data centre.

This was made possible because EcoCooling evaporative coolers use 90% less power than traditional air conditioning systems.

The PV cells which were installed as part of the same project are linked to the National Grid and the college is paid 43p per kW/hr for the power as a feed in tariff.
