Case Studies - Cooling the Server Room
Warwickshire council server units
Two EcoCoolers were installed as part of a balanced ventilation system for a server room at Kings House, Bedworth to cover a 30KW Load.
The server room was being cooled by three existing CRAC’s (Conventional Computer Room Air Conditioners). EcoCooling was chosen as a solution to reduce the electricity costs and associated carbon footprint.
The graph below shows the temperature performance achieved.
(100% compliance with ASHRAE 18°C to 27°C)

Two evaporative cooling units were used in the server room as part of a balanced ventilation scheme. The existing CRAC’s were retained as a backup.
Since commissioning the CRAC’s have not been used.
