Case Studies - Cooling the Leisure Centre

The system consisted of one EcoCooling Roof mounted cooler ducted to six internal ceiling mounted grills and one Celsius extract fan ducted to four ceiling mounted extraction grills. The system provided over 15 air changes per hour of fresh cooled air to the main Gym.

Problem

The main gym, reception and male changing rooms all suffered from severe year round high temperatures. The main Gym was air conditioned, but this was expensive to run and produced unpleasant odours as it only recirculated the internal stale air.

Solution

After surveying the area the likely internal heatload was determined and a suitable Evaporative cooling system was designed to serve all areas.

Total Turnkey Installation

The whole installation including roof steelwork, roof flashings, water pipework, ducting, electrical wiring, ceiling alterations and full commissioning was undertaken in only four days with a minimum of disruption to the centre.
